Framed inside a shop window I painted 36 images.  I worked inside the store "Verso Branco" producing one painting per hour. After 6 days, 6 hours a day, I had completed the above 36 paintings.  My friends, some of them real, others virtual, provided photographs at my request, which served as references for my paintings. The digital world provides us with instant satisfaction; our ways of perceiving images are undergoing enormous changes. Instapaintings combines contemporary, instantaneous imaging technology with traditional oil painting. It is my way to concede images a real presence - in times where the abundance of fleeting images is quite overwhelming (at least for me).
